She’s In Love

Alyson Lie
Jul 2, 2024

She’s in love
Like Big Time
Like she doesn’t ever remember being in love

The flash dissolution of boundaries
Their bodies blending like milk and sugar

Falling asleep face to face, arms entwined, legs entangled
Morning kisses, hugging, breasts to breasts
Fingers triggering soft moans wherever they roam

Who knew this could happen now, with them, like this?
December meeting December with such grace
After so many solitary years

Like two mature sequoias uniting in the canopy
Limb to limb, bough to bough
Choosing to move through the rest of the sky as one
